Helen Folasade Adu, popularly known as Sade, is back with “Soldier of Love,” the sixth album in her 25 year career. Per her biography, Sade was born in Ibadan, Nigeria. Her Nigerian father was an economics professor and her mother Anne was an English nurse. The couple met in London while he was studying at the London School of Economics and moved to Nigeria shortly after getting married. Anna Mwalagho, a U.S. based Kenyan poet, singer, storyteller and songwriter was in Minnesota for a rare performance at the Rochester Public Library.
